I am developing and testing a trading platform prototype using Angel One SmartAPI.
SmartAPI works correctly from my local system, but connections from my VPS are timing out.
Client ID: S1768944
VPS Public IP: 129.159.236.45
From the VPS:
smartapisocket.angelone.in:443 → TCP connection timeout
apiconnect.angelone.in:443 → TCP connection timeout
Google/Cloudflare HTTPS connections → working normally
The VPS has normal outbound Internet connectivity, and OCI networking has been verified.
Could anyone confirm whether Angel One blocks or filters VPS/cloud-provider IPs, or whether this IP needs to be whitelisted for SmartAPI?
This is currently only for prototype/testing purposes and we are not redistributing or publishing Angel One market data.
Any guidance from Angel One or developers who have successfully used SmartAPI from a VPS would be appreciated.
